I am looking for freelance artists to join my team!

Have you ever thought about becoming a live artist? Perhaps you’ve made a start but can’t seem to get things to take off.

With 800+ enquiries a year, I'm looking to build a team of talented and reliable artists and illustrators to paint at events.

This would suit an early or mid-career artist who is looking for support to develop their practise and business skills, or for artists working full-time wanting to bring in some more income.

The Art

I am looking for an artist who can create ‘Guest Portraits’ for weddings and events - live!

I am open to a range of styles, sketching, painting or even digital art. They could be facial portraits or fashion style sketches.

You should be confident in your artistic ability as the roles will require you to create many portraits in a short space of time.

This is a freelance position, so you will not be directly employed by the company, but you will represent the brand and receive support from myself to develop your own business.

Compensation can range from £250-600 per day depending on experience.

Requirments

You should be an artist who is confident in your medium. You will regularly practise your art form and have a strong portfolio of work.

You should be confident interacting with others, this job is very social as you will be painting at events!

It is essential that you have your own car/transport and driving license as you will need to travel to events that, most of the time, you cannot access by public transport.

You should be self-driven, professional and organised. You will be working for yourself as a freelance artists. You will be representing the company and brand when going to events.

You should be happy to work weekends (most events are on a Saturday). You can choose the events you work. You should be dedicated once you have committed to that event - these events are big moment in people's lives and we strive to not let them down.

Reliability is a must.

Living near Nottingham or the Midlands would be a bonus so that we can have a regular meeting in person, although not necessary as we can meet on video chat.

Support

As part of this opportunity I want to help you grow as a business person and as an artist. To do this I will provide:

A profile on the business website which receives hundreds of visitors looking for a live painter every day.

A brochure to send to clients who enquire; I have received 700 enquiries this year alone and I can only paint 60 events!

Support getting you set up; with guidance on what equipment to buy, what to wear and how events and weddings work.

Regular/monthly meetings to catch up and support you with development.

Bookings will be managed through the online booking portal and I will offer support and guidance on how to manage projects.

Mentoring for all things self-employed and being a full-time artist.

Support to level up your skill set and to help you reach your goals.
